For those of us with English ancestry, this inquiry and longing for connection can set us on a path that leads to some challenging truths. While there are lots of “Celtic” teachings to be found in Ireland, Scotland and Wales, there seems to be a gap when it comes to the native traditions of England.
Why are so many of our traditions lost?
What is left for us to connect with?
How do we connect in rooted and authentic ways?
These are some of the questions that I’ll be answering in my upcoming workshop, which will offer a grounded introduction to England’s native mythology and mythic women.

We English have been cut off at the roots for so long…
…severed from our native traditions as a result of our colonial past. This severance goes all the way back to the Roman Empire and subsequent invasions, compounded with the oppressive regime that so many of our ancestors lived inside of during the time of the British Empire.
England has been both Colonized and Colonizer throughout the ages, and both have left a deep wound that has never been healed.
There are some powerful threads that remain from our traditions, including the presence of our ancient mythology. These ancestral stories are few but precious, holding maps of remembrance to our pre-colonial identity. Importantly, these stories contain mythic women who personify the Land and the Sacred Wells in deeply powerful ways.
